Need some inspiration on how to use these Question of the Day printable cards? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Free Writing Practice

Use the questions as a daily warmup. Set a timer for 20 minutes. Allow students to pick a card. Use it as a prompt for a daily free writing activity. Instruct students to keep writing until the timer goes off.

Get to Know You Activity

This is an excellent activity for the beginning of the school year when students are still making friends. This will allow them to get to know one another. Pair students up with a stack of questions. Then, ask them to take turns asking each other the questions.

Morning Icebreaker

Combat the morning drag with a lively discussion that everyone can participate in. Pull a card and discuss answers as an entire class.

Attendance Check

Post a card on the whiteboard each morning with a list of each student’s name below it. Have each student write their answer next to their name. This is a fun way for them to mark their attendance for the day.

Instill Math Skills

Collect answers and graph similar responses in a pie chart or bar graph to teach basic math skills. To make things easier, you can provide multiple-choice answers to open-ended questions.

Become a Teacher. Change Lives.

If you are passionate about impacting the world around you there are few places where you can influence the future as much as a teacher. Teachers have the ability to build students up and set them on a positive course that can have a ripple effect for future generations.
