Our April 2024 Teacher of the Month is Kadijah Bell Coleman, who teaches third grade at Combre-Fondel Elementary in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Kadijah understands the importance of making connections with her students. This year, one of her students’ parents underwent a transplant surgery. Kadijah stayed with the student every day after school to ensure she was taken care of.
She entered education because she wanted to educate the future. “I truly enjoy kids and seeing them fall in love with reading and school is something I enjoy,” she says.
Kadijah’s favorite part of being a teacher is when her students grasp a concept or achieve a breakthrough. She says, “It’s rewarding to see the impact I have on their learning and development.”
Her students are lucky to have such a passionate, dedicated teacher. Congratulations, Kadijah!
