How Much Does it Cost?

Your $3,949 program fee includes the enrollment fee, enrollment in all required courses, two semesters of field supervision, support from iteach advisors and your Program Director, subscription access to the Teaching Channel™, and a 90-day test preparation voucher from Passage Preparation™.

iteach’s monthly payment plan allows you to defer much of the program fee until you begin your supervised teaching experience. Then your remaining program fee balance is divided into 9-10 equal monthly interest-free installments.

You may apply at any time. iteach offers continuous admissions and enrollment, and our self-paced coursework means you don’t have to wait for a new semester to start your first class!

No. You can be admitted to the iteach Georgia GaTAPP Program with a bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject. Note: If you completed a degree in education that included student teaching, or completed another educator preparation program, you are not eligible for admission.

Career & Technical Specialization Fields and Healthcare Science require an associate’s
degree (or higher) in a related field.

No, iteach does not participate in federal or state financial aid programs.

To teach a specific subject or grade level on a Provisional Certificate, you’ll need to show content knowledge in that area. You can typically do this by passing the appropriate GACE®Content Assessment or qualifying based on college coursework in the teaching field. For Elementary Education (P–5), a passing GACE® Content Assessment score is required. All required content assessments must be passed for program completion.

 

Most candidates will need to pass three assessments:

Visit the GACE website (scroll down to Teaching Fields) to see a list of required content and literacy assessments by certification field. Before registering for a GACE® exam, you will need to set up a MyPSC account. 

No – you can begin your coursework without a teaching position. However, to receive a Provisional Certificate and begin your supervised teaching experience, you must secure a teaching position in your certification field with a Georgia public school district, private school, or GaPSC/GaDOE-approved charter school. While we provide guidance and resources to support your job search, candidates are responsible for securing their own teaching position.

iteach coursework is self-paced. You’ll complete your online Essentials courses before beginning your supervised teaching experience, then finish additional online coursework and performance assessments while teaching.
