Florida iteach Program Fees
How much does it cost?
Your $2,975 program fee includes the enrollment fee, enrollment in all required courses, two semesters of field supervision, support from iteach advisors and your Program Director, subscription access to the Teaching Channel™ and a 90-day test preparation voucher from Passage Preparation™.
iteach’s monthly payment plan allows you to defer much of the program fee until you begin your field experience. At the start of your field experience your remaining program fee balance is divided into 9-10 equal monthly interest-free installments.

No. A degree in education is not required. If you have a bachelor’s degree and are interested in becoming a teacher, our program will help you develop the instructional knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in the classroom and work toward earning your Florida teaching certificate.
Your certification area is typically based on your educational background, coursework, professional experience, and career goals. Florida offers multiple ways to demonstrate subject area knowledge, which may include a degree, specific college coursework, and/or passing a Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE). Visit the Florida Department of Education website to explore certification areas and determine which options align with your qualifications. .
No, iteach does not participate in federal or state financial aid programs.
iteach coursework is self-paced, and many candidates complete the instructional coursework within a few months. The full program typically takes 15–18 months and includes securing a teaching position, completing a two-semester field experience, and meeting Florida certification requirements.
To complete the iteach Florida program and qualify for a Florida Professional Certificate, candidates must satisfy all certification examination requirements identified on their Florida Statement of Eligibility (SOE).
Most candidates candidates will need to pass one or more of the following Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE):
- Subject Area Examination (SAE)
- Professional Education Test (PET)
- General Knowledge Test (GKT)
Candidates are responsible for registering for and paying all testing fees. Official score reports must be submitted to iteach Florida as required for program progression and completion. Testing requirements are established by the Florida Department of Education and may change over time. For the most current information, visit the FTCE/FELE website.
A Statement of Status of Eligibility (SOE) is a document issued by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) that identifies the certification area(s) for which you are eligible and outlines any requirements you must complete to earn a Florida Professional Certificate.
Effective July 1, 2026, candidates may enroll in iteach Florida and begin coursework while working to obtain an SOE. However, before beginning the Residency phase of the program and the supervised field experience, you must provide a valid SOE showing eligibility for a Florida Temporary Certificate in a certification area offered by iteach Florida.
If your SOE has expired, you may provide a valid Florida Temporary Certificate in the applicable certification area instead.
To obtain an Official Statement of Status of Eligibility (SOE), you must apply for educator certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) by submitting an online application, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, and any required application fees. Visit the Florida Department of Education website for current application instructions, fees, and certification requirements.
Because an SOE is required before beginning the Residency phase of the program, candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
No. You can start iteach Florida coursework before securing a teaching position. To begin your supervised field experience after you are enrolled you must secure a teaching position in your certification area with a Florida public school district, private school or charter school.
We provide job-search resources and support, but candidates are responsible for securing their own teaching position.
