Requirements for Arizona Teacher Certification Program Admission
Bachelor’s Degree
You must hold a bachelor’s degree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher education that is recognized by the Arizona Department of Education.
Minimum GPA
Candidates need a 2.50 in the last 60 hours of college courses. Click here for a calculator.
Transcripts
Upload your official transcripts to the Applied #1 box in InstructNet. If you don’t have your transcripts, visit your college or university website and request transcripts from your school’s registrar.
Coursework
Complete Introductory Course 5000.
Fees
Pay the $10 enrollment fee.
Agreeement
Acknowledge your Letter of Agreement.

If not a U.S. citizen, you must provide verification of lawful permanent residence and a copy of your current Green Card at the time of application with at least two years of employment eligibility.
Outside of the United States Graduate Requirements
The Arizona Department of Education requires foreign transcripts to be evaluated by an approved evaluation agency. Please click here for a list of approved agencies.
Your foreign credential review must include the following information:
- Verification that one holds the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree granted by an accredited institution of higher education in the United States, including the month, day, and year that the degree was conferred
- U.S. equivalency for each credential
- Course-by-course analysis
- Cumulative GPA of credit hours
