Monica is a Program Advisor for iTeach candidates, bringing extensive experience and expertise in education to the role. With 19 years of teaching Visual Arts in both K-12 public and private schools, Monica has honed her craft and understanding of the educational landscape. Most recently, she served as the Director of Visual Arts for 11 years in a large urban district in Texas. Monica holds a BA in Studio Art from Boston College, as well as advanced degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership from Nazareth College and Lamar University.

Outside of her professional work, Monica is passionate about photography, painting, and drawing. She cherishes spending time with her family, especially traveling and watching her son play water polo. Monica also dedicates time to helping aspiring art teachers by teaching as an adjunct in art education at Texas Woman’s University (TWU).
