How Much Does it Cost? Virginia Has Two Enrollment Options!
Monthly Payment Plan:
Start your teaching journey with low monthly payments of just $99! Once you are hired with your own classroom, we’ll automatically spread the remaining balance into easy, budget-friendly installments over 8-10 months. No stress, just focus on your success!
Note: If you hold a provisional license when entering the iteach program, you will not be eligible for the $99 monthly plan. Instead, you will move directly into the residency/hired status and begin standard tuition payments.
Deferred Payment Plan:
The deferred payment plan is an option for those who may want to wait until they are hired full time to pay their remaining balance. Your monthly payment would be $280 per month if you choose the deferred plan.

We recommend reaching out to your school division’s HR team to learn about any special requirements or options they may have for financial assistance.

$99 or $250to Enroll
Once accepted, enroll for $99 a month.
OR
Enroll for $250 and make no further payments until you are hired as a full-time teacher. Then pay your remaining tuition in monthly installments.
$3,050 Total Cost
No matter which enrollment option you choose, your total cost is still just $3,050.
Both plans are split into equal monthly payment plans once you are hired full time.

You may apply at any time; iteach enrolls students on a continual basis.
No. No matter what bachelor’s degree you have, it’s your subject matter expertise, combined with your successful completion of our program, that makes you eligible to teach. We’ll teach you what you need to know and do in order to be a successful teacher yourself.
Please refer to the ETS Praxis test overview for Virginia here to identify the Praxis, content test, that you will be required to take and pass for state licensure.
No, iteach is not an institution of higher education. Therefore, the program does not qualify for financial aid.
You can complete all program-required instructional coursework within as little as three months. The entire iteach program, including your teaching residency, is designed to be completed within one school year. However, you have two full school years to find a teaching position as long as you are enrolled in the iteach program. Once hired, you must complete all program requirements during your two-semester field experience.

Licensed teachers in Virginia interested in teaching Elementary Education PreK-6, Special Education General Curriculum K-12, or Special Education Adapted Curriculum K-12 can now receive add-on endorsements through iteach.
